the guy at the shop i went to said that my power supply is to small, thats why the volts are dropping so fast.....i have a 136amp stock alt....and two yellow top deep cycle battery...55 AH....750 CCA....870 CA....he said the stock alt is fine if you had a stronger battery like a kinetik 1800 and up....i would be fine....does that make sense to you guys?....

ah...you need more alternator
alright but he was doing all this math....im new to this i didn't get it....but he was surprised when i told him i have 2 60amp fuses in each amplifier....thats when he was saying your batteries don't put enough out...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

if you listen to this stereo with the engine on, then it is the alt that does not put out enough.....battery wise you might want to look at kinetik's larger line, but the alt needs an upgrade

math is very inaccurate with car audio in general because of efficiency. A subwoofer amp is not 100% efficient and would therefore throw off the calculations

alright that makes sence....i was looking at a hc1800....can i run that along with the batteries i already have....i don't wanna have to throw the yellow tops away...and the alt upgrade is right around the corner

i would try keeping the yellows with no other batteries and do the alt....then if you decide you still need the 1800 or better you can add

I have my stock alternator, a yellowtop g34 up front, and my big three done.

There was once a time where i was running a zx2500.1, a sax100.2 and a small 50x2 amp on that same electrical setup. My voltages only went down to about 12.8 - 13.0 at idle.

I'm about to get a big battery for up front + a smaller one for the back. We'll see how my voltage is then.

I think his quart is a bit less efficient than your kicker
