I have an intank now but was going to go with an inline because I would only need a single pump. My cars already has clutch chatter from hell so I guess more noise couldn't hurt, haha. mmmmm at side ****...
or just do it right and put a 044 in tank and get a surge tank if your worried about fuel..... clutch chatter huh? ACT?

 
Supras power line on a dyno look a lot like an S2000. You have to wait till 5k just to get into a powerband. The head flow on those things are TERRIBLE! I have to look, but someone on the BMW forum posted a head comparison of a 2JZ and a M3 head. Night and day. Reason why M3's make more power on less boost. And lower WHP M3's beat higher HP Supras. We get in the powerband faster and sustain it longer. Nonetheless, the Supra is a GREAT performance car. And probably has the most robust stock long block ever made!

I agree with this... BMWs power band is amazing, the flat engines are much more responsive. But lets not get ahead of ourselves and start acting like the M engines are the best. I would take an AMG engine over a M engine all day. An AMG engine may have the most potential out of any.

WOW now! I wouldnt go that far. AMG makes great engines! Both NA and FI. But comparing them is difficult. They are more known for BIG engines, like the 6.2 V8 in the current AMG line. Where as BMW did high winding V10 in the old M5, and high winding V8 for the M3. 5.0 in the M5, 4.0 in the M3. Its a drivers preference really. Both cars make about the same power, just BMW does it in a different way. I personally like hiting 8.2k RPM on a V10! My buddy has one and have drivin it quite a bit. A hell of a machine!!!!!

Of course they cant. They are making the same power on 1.5litres less. The M5 and M3 win every comparison test they go into head to head with Audi or AMG. They dont have a BIG lump under the hood which makes them better balanced. M5 would DESTROY and E63 all day long on the track.

But to your point of large displacement. Those days are over. BMW and AMG are both going to smaller, turbo engines. The new M5 has a 4.4 twin turbo. M3 is going to have a twin turbo or singe I6. AMG is doing the same from what I hear. You can get the same power, more torque and better fuel economy when you run FI. Its a no brainier. Good by to the days of 6.2 V8s.
