how was the recone from part like that? im about to attempt it on a 3hp motor. im a little worried that its going to end up rubbing

It was pretty easy. you just have to make sure you set the coil height in the gap the right way.. I went by one of my other DD's and set it up that way... If any sub would rub after a recone its a DD 9500... The gap is so tight its crazy.. I could barely get 4 regular sheets of paper down on the pole piece to align it.. Just take your time..

Ok guys here is a lil description of the sub... The cone is a standard cone with half roll surround... Its pretty stiff paper cone.. it may have kevlar fibers mixed in it but im not sure on that... The spider is two stiff spiders stacked with woven in tinsel leads. The coil is Dual 1.4 ohm and is Flat wound aluminum 4 Layer.. This to me is a upgrade to what DD uses now on the 9500 as they use copper coils. Also the coil is about 1/4 inch taller then the original DD coil.. (But no worries, the spider will bottom out before the coil) Of course the motor is a DD 9500 G motor and is in Mint condition. I use CA glue provided by IA Audio and let each glue joint have 24 hours to dry. It took three days to build because of this....LOL

The Triple joint is triple layered with glue and also the glue joint under the spider...

The sub comes with a Blank Black dustcap, I can install it for you or send it out without one so you can put whatever you want on it.. I also have a Rubber boot that goes around the basket and also have the rubber boot for the MOTOR...

Yes the coil is almost 1/4 inch longer then a standard DD coil. Just means more coil stays in the gap longer which should equal more control
