My New Hobby, RC airplanes

RTRs are cheaper, which is what most of the people I know had(all $500>). Nowhere near that price, unless they spent money on new motors and shit. Which you dont have to. Im dam sure not spending that much on mine especially since Im not competing or going to be using it all the time.
the prices above were just to prove a point.

Yeah RTRs are way cheaper. I feel like they ruined the hobby though. Building is half the fun.

somthing funny? I guess you just don't have an engineering bone in your body

i used to be in rc cars, it was to expensive at the time...i had a trinity kit, idk it was easy to make, but they didnt send all the parts i needed(something witht he motor) didnt get shipped till about 3 montsh later...while it collected dust, i ghetto rigged it so i can work, and drove it till i hit a wall and this stuff was fg, so it cracked...i thinking about making one myself, like get a piece of thin metal of some kind and and some fg...then build up from there..

Mine is an HPI devil, they are very well made.
Weird, I was lookin at the HPI hellfire.

I have been into planes since I was 10, that makes it 15 years now. I dont do much anymore, my main plane I take out is my glider, I built that sucker from scratch, 9 1/2 foot wing span. I love that thing, I send it into the air off a high-start and it flys for a long *** time and nice and slow, very relaxing. In the past I had a twin engine b-52 bomber that me and my dad built with a working bomb hatch in it, dropping the little parachute men was fun. I did own a jet, spent 8 months building it, spent about 45 seconds flying it and crashed it into my high school gym brick wall, small explosion and everything, that sucked and was satisfying all at the same time. I love planes but dont really have the time to upkeep them anymore, and I have become kinda disenfrachised by the kits on the market now, most of them **** IMO so you need to build your own from the ground up but that takes alot of time and some trial and error, all takes up more time

So the plane does take off from the tread mill!!!!!!!?

9.5 foot wingspan? Shit. Pics of that thing?

I spent 5k on my current R/C setup.
I planned to race every weekend.

I've owned the car etc for 6 months now havent driven it once.

Im going to sell it and take a major loss.
5000? Shit son. 1000> on mine for sure.
