I got this in Saturday and thought I would take some pics of it. Still waiting on the wiring harness and stuff to get here. I bought this off ebay thinking it came with it and it didnt, but the guy had them down in his garage luckily.

He would have included them with the unit but he was selling his truck and he had someone take out all of the wires and stuff and he just put it all down in his garage and he didn't know what wires went to the unit and he didnt want to get rid of anything he needed. But anyways.....we got that cleared up and the wires are on the way and even if they arent the right ones I know where to get more.

Ive heard a lot of good and some bad about this unit but I am hoping i will really like it and also hoping it will be my last h/u to buy.

Also, I dont know much about indashs but when I got it and realized i didnt get wires with it, I wanted to go ahead and see how the screen looked and i pulled the screen out and it all went smoothly and it looked fine and then i pushed it back in and it went back in smoothly. Well, I got all happy happy 5mins later and wanted to pull it out again just to look at it and drool on myself and it came out fine but when i went to push it back in it got hung and then started popping and got crooked. I then proceeded to gently straighten it up and I finally got it straight and now its going in and out smoothly again. Think I will have any problems? Im paranoid now lol

I don't know anything about the quality of that Clarion unit (or any of their other ones for that matter) but I do know this:

The screen is moved with an automatic (motorized) mechanism - and likely moving it in and out by hand continually won't be good for the unit in the long run.

I wouldn't suggest you keep doing this (although I do understand how maddening it is to have new toys you can't play with yet!)

lol believe me Im biting my nails waiting to get this thing in...

At first I just wanted to see if the screen was ****ed so I could file a claim for it that day, and then the second time I was just wanting to gock at it.

I havnt tried moving it in and out and wont by hand anymore for sure.

Thanks, I got a pretty good deal on it too. I paid $537 shipped and its in mint condition. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
