hell i was powering my es-620's with a dls A3(150x2@4ohm)- that to me sounds like plent of power. they just lacked in low end guitar midbass and double kick drum for metal. for classical and extreme instumental tunes thay sounded pretty good- cdt isnt that good for metal. i heard the hd series has more midbass than the es line though

are u sure ur not talkin about bass that your sub should have been handling? Thats what it seems like to me.
