Before I got my AD700's, I only used ear buds. I had a really expensive pair of Sure buds. The headphones are really light and the ear pads are so comfortable. I can watch a few movies or listen to songs for hours and sometimes I forget I have them on. Audio-Technica makes some of the most comfortable headphones available, that is one reason I picked them over Sennheiser.

True. They do look goofy. I only wear them at home and is one reason I wan't some M50's.

I have seen some people wear Beats in stupid ways, I hate how they are such a fashion accessory now, and that they cost so much just for the name.

I was thinking about buying some Beats or the Ludacris Soul's when my homie worked at Radioshack and could get them for me for 1/2 off.

Not a fan of AT. Bass is muddy. I run a set of Shure SRH750DJ's or FocalPrice CK700's with my Fiio E11 and iPod LOD if needed and that amp sounds fantastic. I think I paid roughly $60 for the amp setup through Sonic Electronix.

does that amp give them enough juice? im not sure what impedance those cans are. im looking to get a fiio e7 amp/dac

My headphones are a low imp. I think 32 ohm IIRC. The things to look out for when picking an amp are high sensitivity and low ohm. If you have both of those an amp wont do much other than making them louder.
