My JL 12'' is pumpin bass like it use to whats wrong?

I got a MTX amp hooked up to my JL and i checked all the wires in my car and they all look fine but sometimes my woofer would cut off and then come back on. After I a song is over it makes a little pulse bass for a while until another song comes on.
