You are an idiot.153? thats it for 6 15s? that dont seem right, should be in the upper 160s
space was an issue, and, he likes the sound of sealed. wether the driver prefers to be ported, he doesnt care. he likes sealed boxes. tight and responsive. i know you can do that w/ a ported box.. but, hey. im not him, so i cant tell you exactly why he didnt go ported. he possibly could have, but the subs literally would have been touching the front seats. dunoo... but, ive heard it. and it is loud. trust me. first stereo ive heard personally that hits over 150db (never been to a audio show/db drag before) and all the stereos i ever hear are from people who either buy walmart shit, or get JL and kicker which is your basic everyday system which most of them dont even hit 140'sIdk why you would go sealed... your not gonna be able to tell sound quality at 160 db's....
cuz truly, when you got 6 15" btls..... do you really think your gonna get any sound quality out that? just try to get as loud as you can... but then again maybe space was an issue... everybody is different though
fail at what?fail?
Well. To be honest.... Im not entirely sure they are BTL's at all. The look exactly like them tho, only a different dustcap. We were talking about FI one day, and thats when he mentioned his boss was building a new stereo for his truck, and was using BTL's. I'll get more detailed info when i go back to take the video of the truck. I think it was dumb to go sealed also, but he always does. only time he ever went ported was a 12" Eclipse TI in a T-Line box, in some kind of small SUV. scored a 147.xx got first place. I belive IASCA, not sure exactly. Ill take a picture of that too when i go back lol. He just likes sealed. His last setup in that truck was eight 10" Eclipse SW8102's (the ones i had, i posted pics.. i bought them from him when he started his new install) it was also all sealed. but this one, for some reason, only metered 145. They did something wrong (possibly being sealed, and having 4 boxes. 2 subs per box) and powered them with two or three of the clarion amps seen in the video. It was loud as ****, almost as loud as the 6 15's. im guessing the 8 10's have around the same cone area, if not more. which is why it sounded as loud, but metered lower. dunno.. ill get more detailed info for you guys within the next week (most likely wednesday, my day off) youll get to see the finished amp rack/battery install. the new candy paintjob, and.. of course.... a ton of videos. Flex vids, hairtricks, metering videos, excursion. I'll cover everything. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i love the install personally, even being sealed. it sounds incredible. if anyone is in the tampa/ocala area hit me up on PM. we can meetup, ill take you to see it. just so someone can vouche for me that even tho its sealed, its still a beast //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifim not jeleous at all.
to me thats just ****ing stupid to go sealed with a btl. guess its a sweet way to kill potential though.
