um i saw an overhauling with an explorer that was decked out in sony subs...thats not as bad as PMR audiobahns.

Pimp my ride doesn't even paint the whole car.......

There was this one episode with a stupid *** CRX i believe, and after they painted it they had to put it on a lift. The original paint was still visible on the rocker panels...

WCC does a shit job with all of the Pimp My Ride cars.

Ya...I watch PIMP MY RIDE and I am like..yea..that'll be tight..Then they do all that Gay stuff..like a Fountain in the center or Karaoke Machine in the Trunk..I do kinda like the systems they install..but MTV totally bit the concept of these great shows that modify and customize your car..But in classic MTV style..they screw it up and get them to do stupid crap to it for people to be more interested. They take shows like "punked" and ViVa la BAM..and then tried to mix it in with Car Customizing.

IT'S A CAR..It's a TRUCK...IF YOUR GONNA PIMP IT...DO IT RIGHT.NOT LIKE A ROLLING MTV PRODUCTION.

I probably should have never put Pimp My Ride on there..I would panic if they took my car to WCC..I would say "Just do the Radio..

Your right about the paint..and also do you notice they "NEVER" touch the engine..so when you see that Pimped out ride..it's got a engine with 200.00 miles and leaking oil!

They did engine work once.....they were going on and on about how they were going to rebuild this poor saps engine, and all they did was replace some filters and hoses.

That's true.

I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, though. I can't imagine a Pimp My Ride engine bay if they did the same to it as the interior and exterior of the vehicle. Although, I guess there's not much you can do to some of the engines that roll in there ... such as that van thing which has a smaller engine than my lawn mower.

Is it just me, or when people on every other show but Overhaulin' (Kicker guys, etc) talk about mobile electronics, they sound like complete idiots? I don't know ... just seems that way to me.

YEP...YEP...I also saw when that Girl got her VW Baja bug done I think they did replace that motor..But that says alot because VW motors are easy to change out and they made a big deal on the show about it..otherwise you rarely see the hood open up..and thats a BIG LOSER aspect of any Car Show like that if they can't touch the motor.I think west Coast Customs is just into putting Dubs on ESCALADES..Sewing flames into your seats and istalling "mediocre"systems..otherwise they are lost automotive wise....

CHIP Foose on the other hand can build your entire car from a clump of steel to a Show winner.

EXACTLY...I have noticed Numerous times Company banners "strategically" placed around the Garage and on Certain episodes they make a big deal about certain "Brand" names regarding stereo Stuff...CLARION gets alot of Play on that Show..I bet MTV pockets some money from those companies for Product placement..It's always a Clarion head unit..Not that there is a problem with Clarion stuff...Just that it's more of a Commercial for that company..rather than a LEGIT build up that the shop guys want to do..I think West Coast Customs probably takes alot of Orders from MTV on what to do exactly...I bet Those WCC guys get little freedom is actually designing the car themselves. QUIT WHORING YOURSELF MTV!!!

The skylark on overhauled was by far the best, air ride and 6 L7s....wish i was that guy.

Yea..the Skylark was tight....I like the Mustang too even though I am a CHEVY guy...all those FOOSE rides are amazing pieces of art..I actually would love to see FOOSE go to town on something newer..like a Truck or Camaro...I am an older car guy.... but I think putting some of those skills into a late model car would be great!!!

that nova didnt look like that bad of shape from the pictures...but those wheels they put on gotta go...some nice torque thrust IIs would look nice...or even better some wheels from "american hotrod" from the "Junkyard Dog' would look nice.
