hey guys, ive been cruising aroudn this site for the past week or so and been looking into getting into the car audio scene. Right now i have just a bazoka tube + kicker amp and its fine and all, but i will be selling my car soon and will be building a new setup. My question is, what is a good basic set up? i hear a lot about type r's and I'm thinking im going to go that route subwoofer wise, but i really dont understand amp's and what power rating i should get. I know the type r's are rated at 4ohms, so should i get an amp that is rated the same? The type r's peak at 1500w and have 500w RMS, so should i get an amp with similar specs?
Also, this set up will more than likely go into a mkIII golf, maybe a mkIV if i have enough money, anyone with a remotely similar set up that can recomend an enclosure?
