this is in a customers 66 pontiac beaumont( is like a chevelle, but its has poncho emblems, le mans dash and a chevy motor, also called a canadian chevelle) this was my first install at a pro shop, let alone a full trunk. the whole install needs to be removable, as there is a hydrolic pump for the convertable top behind the "wall". Also a stortage box for his detailing products was a must. im also doin a custome center consold as well as installing autometer gauges. and few other goodies as well. the previouse install consisted of a infinatly referance sub in a wedge box, fliped up side down and screwd with deck screws in the left rear corner of the trunk. the install was pretty weak, a few wires twiested and taped, 8 awg were 4 awg should have been used. oh well heres the pics, OH doin custome doors with speaker pods and upholtery

x2.

people dont appreciate custom work as much as they do a bare square box sitting unmounted in a trunk.

that kinda work takes time, looks very clean. i would have rounded the cutouts for the trunk hinges..

keep up the good work.

4 cube's gross or net?? I've had several plans which had 4+ gross, but right now the best I've pulled of was around 2.44. It was at 35Hz, could get more space if I tuned it higher and with less port area....

Good luck with the S10, still love the look of the trunk!!

4 cubes net, be closer to 5.2 after port and sub and bracing

Looks very clean...but one Q...how is the sound going to travel to the cabin if you have basically sealed off the trunk from the Cabin?
great question. this is primarly a show car, its also a convetable so u do the math. summer time with the top droped, its a no bass sitch. this is what the customer wanted. i dont think hes concerned with bass so much as he is with looks. but i can asure your that the amout of bass this 200watt sub yeilds, it will get into the cabin with the top up.
