He should go for it. After he's done, never speak to her again. Guaranteed this event will come up again in an argument in their relationship. That way, he won't be held liable by this woman. I told him to go for it because it would be a great story and I'd get a good laugh out of it -- he doesn't think e getting a laugh is a good enough reason to go for it.

I was very impressed with your reasoning. Giving advice based on what would make the best strory (ie, future thread) is exactly what we encourage here in the lounge. However, telling your friend that was the reasoning behind the advice was a rookie mistake.
