My first spl competition results :)

With the setup in my sig (type r 10's), I hit a 143.6 on the tl at 38hz in the kick with my daily, low tuned box. The judge was surprised on how low my peak frequency was. I'd say that's not too bad for my first time on a meter? I was also kind of pissed that I somehow didn't place, considering that a guy with a 18" solo x only hit a 144.7 did place and got a trophy. I guess that's because the competition and class setup was ran horribly by USACI?

Woody also did pretty good. He hit a 140 @ 45hz with his single 12" RE SX. It's also his daily box, and it's tuned low at 32hz. Not bad for a 70a alternator and A TON of room for improvement

ugh you guys left early, I had to stay till the end since i was judgeing. there was 45 vehicles //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif .... usually im used to meca shows that spread out all day, this was more like fast food SPL. That is probably the cheapest SPL competition you'll ever compete in though, $20 for SPL is a pretty good deal.

Team Daily took home 4 trophies, I got 1st in whatever the hell class I was in, lol

Nice meeting you guys, i wish i had time to bullsh!t with you more, just when Mike asked me to judge / be mic boy i decided to help...but hell man after gettin in and out of 45 cars i was one tired mofo.

Being the fact I sat in every vehicle at the show, one thing I noticed was that it was pretty much 90% noobs to competing...while thats fine and nothing wrong with that, what made the lane so slow was that I had to explain to every person the usaci rules.

I had fun though. My team really didnt take the event seriously if you didnt notice, hell they went off to a ***** bar and didnt even pick up their awards, I had to take em //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Hey dan, it was one of my 6x9 that clipped like a mother******. We couldn't figure out how to set the crossover on my head unit, if there even is one at that.

EDIT: Thanks for letting me play around with the meter as well.

Nah its cool, i knew you wouldnt gank my meter. You werent alone in being a bit unsure of what to do.... but thats what I was there for ya know? I didnt know I was going to be recruited as a judge but I didnt mind helping people understand how to compete. Plus I had to get a crash course in Usaci rules....not exactly what I had planned for this evening.

I also didnt have our termlab with us, so if you ever wanna work on your setup just let me know, like a few days ahead of time and we can work something out and go somewhere like a park or something and do some testing. We can no longer do testing at our shop (cops kept comming over //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif )

but just let me know, I try to help out anyone who lives near me.

Glancing at it earlier tonight, its a box for two 18" solo x but only one hooke dup and the other the basket just sitting in there. The box looks a little bigger, but def. not big enough for two 18". I don't understand why you would drive around with a 60 lb.??? basket, makes no sense.

Two 18" solo x with four kx2500.1 hit a 149.5 I think. Kinda sad as well if you ask me. Solo x is like the car audio product that never touches the right hands.

no he didnt hit that high, remember i was sitting with him...he only did a 148.3

I was the highest score of the event, which is sad since the meter was down by almost 2 db
