How much port area is that, out of curiousity...

And why did you decide to face the port and sub like that, you have an SUV so a CRX style might have yeilded more output.

107 sq inches of port....and i was told back firing both would be best for SUV from numerous people...i hope i wasnt wrong.

It varies, in my Jeep I gained the most output with the subs up and the port to the side.

I thought you have them both firing up, which would ****... The second loudest enclosure I have used was both firing to the rear, so you will be fine.

oh ok yeah both going back...and i wanna be able to rest some stuff on top of the box....so up firing wouldnt have worked out...i hope steele can get some pics of the box covered on here tonight.

how come every time i buy a sub the box plans that come with it say to make all the walls the same thickness as the front

flannel>joo it adds 9 db's and the black port adds 3db as everyone kno's so he'll be getting a 12 db boost.

i think its gonna be cool compared to paint or carpet....if it looks as "awful" as you think its going to look itll come off and be carpeted...just wanna do something different and black and blue is the color scheme of my jeep so why not

looks good so far. Just gotta finish the ends and cut the port and sub wholes. How should i finish the port:

wrapped arond the edge and glued in the port

or

finished at the edge of the port
