finally got it installed...had to go to a shop down the road cause i didnt have the tools....

amp looked like this when i got it

gain- 3/11

subsonic - off

LPF- 40

Bass boost - half way

...WTF....changed it to this

gain- 3/11

subsonic - 23 htz

LPF- 80htz

bass boost- off

yes it does...but i have a question for everyone...whats the best way to set LPF, subsonic, and bass boost for best SQ?

no bass boost, lpf around where you have it or maybe a little lower, and ssf a few hz lower than box tuning. if you wanted sq you probably shouldnt have gotten an 18?

no im just making sure im getting all the SQ i can cause it IS an 18...still love the fact its an 18 and the output im getting...gains halfway up are earth shattering...honestly scary to be in the car...i dont know how some people here can run like >1000 watts for a DD its too loud

I'd leave the filters where you set them and use the bass boost sparingly if at all. I'd also reset the gain. The installer may have set the gain with the bass boost off but I wouldn't count on it.

oh no installer set it with bass boost like halfway...i already changed that...he had gains real low and bass boost up high...i fixed that...just wnated to know if i was on track with my SSF and LPF

it seems to like the lp around 80 which is where i got it now then a lil below tuning should be good for the ssf.

I could only imagine what an 18 would sound like. I have the 12 and is as loud as my 2 type R's were and sound better.
