My first brake job :)

No pointing in doing the front and not the back.

I did all 4 rotors and pads on my Mustang and it came out to $200 bucks.

Did the work myself.

So, $200 bucks for a full job. It was ballerrr.

But, I had to rent a tool for my rear brakes. $100 dollar down payment and they give it back when you return the tool (Advanced Autoparts). Smokin' @ss deal.

Yeah if the back were rotor/pad I would do them at the same time but my rear are drum brakes :S From what I've been told tho 80% of the breaking is done in the front and 20% on the back, so my back is prob fine for now.

What has to be changed in a drum brake? the drum?

i did mine today also. One of my screws on my front left caliper backed out and the other one was stripped and just sitting in there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. It explained the rattling when i hit bumps lol.

drum brakes are a bit more difficult, as there are a bunch of springs and pins....and no you do not have to replace them every time you do the front

within the drum there are "shoes" that need to be replaced every once in a while

Haha, did you manage to get it all fixed?
Yea, i was pissed because i figured i'd have to wait until tomorrow to get the bolts from the dealer. Luckily smyth had them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
