My experience with my "odd" system

Reason I call my system odd is because of the amount of baffles I had to put on in order not to touch any of the ports.

My setup is four 15" L7s with a CRX box giving each chamber 4.3 cubes @ 35hz. Things I did differently than I did last time were I dynomated the car, and the aeroports. Also of course upgrading the numbers of 15"s from 2 to 4. I also threw in two optima yellow tops. Last setup I had (two 15" L7s, orion 2500d, stock electrical) had no electrical upgrades.

Here's my experience. As most of you all know my box building experienced sucked. I much rather have built my old crx box than this one. However when it came down to over SQ and loudness this system just takes out my old setup. Even with only one Orion 2500d you can feel a huge difference. These ports do make a big difference compared to square ports. I can pick up a lot of low notes that I wouldn't pick up before with square ports. I am able to play lil jon and actually pick up most of the lows and sounds great. The sq is 10x better than it was before. I also feel a big difference in the air in the car. It kinda feels as if I had long hair I would be able to pull of a hair trick.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif Before you would feel the air waves but not as much.

I also knocked down my rear view mirror, some thing I didn't do my old setup. My mirror would just shake a lot but it was still strong as hell and it didn't show any sign of falling.

Even though this box is all screwed up (the looks) it sounds great. Everybody that see's the box from the outside thinks its a POS (i do too) but when they hear it they dont care about the looks. I am just suprised at how loud it got with about the same amount of power as before.

I can't wait until Friday when I get to take out the Orion 2500d and put in the new HCCA D5000s in (2 of them). Im also going to do the big 3 and im waiting for an alt quote to purchase an alt (iraqqi isnt responding to me).

How can you say areoports sound better than slot ports when you have a whole new box and two more subs. Was your old box the exact same specs per sub?even the same port area?doubt it. With that being said, do you have any port noise since you have just 2 4"ports per sub? If you dont you probably will with the two hcca's and the alt upgrade.

This box is giving each sub 4.3 cubic ft compared to my old one giving 4.1cubic ft. My old one was tuned to 35hz this box is also tuned to 35hz.
