I have a directed 1100D and i hooked it up for the first time today. The amp seems unusually hot... i couldnt stand putting my hand on it for more than a second before it burned. Is this normal, and if not, what could be the cause of this.

how it is wired right now: I have the amp turn on wire connected to the positive terminal to get it's 12.6 volts as we read it. and the amp is unbearably hot.

The head unit is the CDX-CA 850X from sony.

Also, I had tried EVERY wire behind my headunit for the amp turn on wire, they all varied from 1, 40, to 11 volts, but none of them turned on the amp, any idea what might be wrong?

that is definately not normal. maybe you have a bottleneck connection somewhere in the amp but other than that im not sure. id get it checked though. thats a hazard.
