06/19/2008 01:17:32PM Agent (Keith): "Sure. Which model amps are you using in your system?"
06/19/2008 01:18:02PM sean: "alpine m1000, and aura force 250-a"
06/19/2008 01:18:24PM Agent (Keith): "What's the fuse rating on the Aura amp?"
06/19/2008 01:19:57PM sean: "30a"
06/19/2008 01:20:56PM Agent (Keith): "Okay, what type of fuses do your fuse holder and block use?"
06/19/2008 01:21:11PM sean: "regular ANL style"
06/19/2008 01:22:14PM Agent (Keith): "Okay, you would need a 150 amp fuse for your fuse holder:"
06/19/2008 01:22:17PM Agent (Keith) sends page: "http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?search=anl+fuse&i=211FANL150" thats a 150A
06/19/2008 01:22:45PM Agent (Keith): "Does your block have separate ANL fuses for each amp?"
06/19/2008 01:22:54PM sean: "yes"
06/19/2008 01:23:08PM Agent (Keith): "You could use this fuse for the Alpine amp:"
06/19/2008 01:23:11PM Agent (Keith) sends page: "http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=211FANL100&search=anl+fuse&tp=1806" thats a 100A
06/19/2008 01:23:26PM Agent (Keith): "But we don't have one small enough for the Aura amp."
06/19/2008 01:23:57PM sean: "what would be the harm in using a bigger fuse?"
06/19/2008 01:24:18PM Agent (Keith): "If you use too large of a fuse then it wouldn't blow if you have a problem with the amp."
06/19/2008 01:24:52PM sean: "oh soo i could use like 150a in all three spots?"
06/19/2008 01:25:53PM Agent (Keith): "No, that's not a good idea."
06/19/2008 01:26:12PM sean: "may i ask why?"
06/19/2008 01:27:14PM Agent (Keith): "Again, if you use too large of a fuse it won't blow if there's a problem with the amp and that can damage your amp further and it would also be a fire hazard."
06/19/2008 01:28:50PM sean: "ohh so i need a smaller fuse forthe Aura amp? like 50A?"
06/19/2008 01:28:57PM Agent (Keith): "Correct."
06/19/2008 01:29:05PM sean: "ok thank you"
