My college is going tobacco free

not suprised. there will come a time when you gotta leave earth to have a square.
well thats how Cedric the entertaining feels...

I dont see a problem with designated smoking areas as long as they are out of the way, nothing worse than having to walk through the fortress of smokers to get into a building...but, they can do what they want with their campus so what can you do...trying to squeeze those smokers out...

cedric the entertainer?

In the early 70's, the high schools in Eugene set aside courtyard space for the smokers. These days the Oregon state law is that no tobacco can be used on a public school (not including colleges) campus.

The anti-smoking nazis are winning. Guess what? We smokers pay a pretty good tax to enjoy a legal product! If we smokers all quit at once, the government would be out BILLIONS and that deficit would have to be made up by taxing us all with another tax of some sort.

As it is, "sin tax" rates are at the point that black markets come into being. You can only tax a people so far without adverse consequences. I guess some people need to play SimCity 2000...LOL!
