My brothers dog died from recalled dog food.

i think you can sue if you purchaed the food if the store was still selling the food after the date it was recalled. still have the recipt.?

but if you bought it then it got recalled then you used the food i dont think there is much you can do.

sorry to hear about the lil fella

My brother fed his dog with some new dog food. Well, by the time he came back that day, the dog was dead. The dog was as stiff as a board and with bleeding from the mouth. We found out later that the food was recalled. Can we sue?
Stiff as a board and bleeding from the mouth!?! Gawd damn son... Sounds like the poor thing had a seizure! Diden't know dog food could cause that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

learn how to spell

didn't not diden't

that sucks about the dog

I hate to sound cold hearted here, but since the dog food has now been recalled after date of purchase, provided I understood you right, do you have any type of proof as to dogs day of death? If not then its gonna be hard to hold the food company accountable as you would need to prove that the food was A) bought before the Recall B) Fed the Dog the food before the recall was issued. Now if you have a reciept that says you bought the food after the recall was issued than you would have a legal case against the store in which you bought it from.

Aww thanks Teach... diden't know anyone cared enough to fallow me around the boards and correct my spelling //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
its follow and not fallow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

you would probably have to have a dog autopsy and shit.. have the food tested.. prove it was the food.. and have bought and used it before the recall...

probably cost a shit ton of money.. and pets are not worth shit really.. just replacement cost...

So unless it was a champion show dog.. you probably wouldn't even break even.

sorry about the dog.
