My AQ1200 barly pushed a W7.....

I know its only rated at 500w at 4ohms but my friends older T10001bd

which is similerly rated made the sub pound....

Whats going on here!!! I just recently tested this amp on a friends car and it performed wonderfullly. He did have a good alpine deck and my friend with the w7 has some crappy boss deck. Could my AQ1200 be more sensitive to rca pre outs?

maybe he had on mad bass boost, or cranked gains.

excursion isn't better if its getting clipped you know..

or, maybe his electrical is better, or vise versa.

why didn't you run it @ a lower impedance?

i thougtht they was dual 3s ???? That may be FAKE lol jk but really didn know they came single 3 all get anothr one and bridge them then you will be sorta wanging

the rockford may be underrated by alot and maybe the aq doesn't do rated @ 3/4 ohm?

I think I read somewhere that the aq does about 1000rms@1ohm and im sure the RF does closer to 1400-1500rms@1ohm..

Idk about the AQ, but the rockford does close to 700 at 4 ohm if i remember correctly, highest birthsheet i seen said it did 1381@ 1 ohm rms

look for a older jbl bp1200.1 best amp i ever used puts out the same watts from 1 ohm to 4ohm. The PG xenon 1200.1s are also good amps that put out serious power from 1 ohm to 4 ohms.

the audioque does rated at 1 ohm no problem... is it in the same box? your imp rise will be different if its a different box....

Either way the w7 in the JL prefab bandpass sounded like **** compared to my Inriminator Audio Death Row setup in sig. It sounds better and hits harder.

Now i just got a couple different answer here, whos correct?

About the same at 1 and 2 (birthsheet on my old one had it about 1350, a little more at 1), but at 4ohms it does waaaaayyyyy less.
