my amp wont get a signal

ok, my ground wire came loose and and i tried to connect it back, and now my amp doesnt get a signal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif what shoud i do or what is wrong with it now? any ideas guys?

Where is it grounded too?? I had a similar problem it was grounded to the side wall of the trunk. Once i grounded it to a different spot it worked fine so try grounding it to the floor if possible. Also Check the remote wire.

Remote wire is a 12V lead connected to your head unit. It just tells the amp when to turn on and when to shut off. It's usually blue. Make sure that is tight. also check your fuses on the amp and under the hood.

i noticed some of the wires are frayed could that have something to do with it?

it might. They should be in there nice and snug. What kind of amp do you have? Are the wires frayed at the amp or the fuse or both? If it's the amp you might wanna go out and buy forks. You just attach them to the wire and they hook onto the amp really nice. Alot easier then playing with the actual wires. Doesn't hurt to cut a bit off and put the wire back on. It'll make it look better at least. So all the fuses are fine and the remote wire is fine??

The amp is a 400w autotek. anyways, everything worked fine until that ground wire came loose from the amp. maybe i should just take it somewhere and have it checked out?

Yea you could, that would be the easy way out. Did u instal it yourself or geta shop to do it?

Bring it back to them. Don't say u played with it at all. Don't they have lifetime warentee on instals?
