My 9833 is possessed!!!

So today I just got my alpine 9833 installed for the first time and i'm driving listening to a cd for the very first 15 minutes, then all of the sudden the speakers start to crackle and distort out of no where. I think hmm, that's strange, so I change it to the radio and it does the same thing. I then turn it back to the cd and it now says "error." I turn it back to the radio, and now the speakers are back to normal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Now, it won't read any cd's. Any cd I put it it takes a looong time to read/load and then it says error. Went to the alpine website, no help there or in the manual. Anyody had this problem before? So would that cause the cd to give an "error" message? Come to find out, the people who I had install it are dumb ***** (found out from a friend that they are sloppy after the fact)

Just try bringing it back to wher u got it installed, tell them to check the wires if it still doesn't work, exchange for another unit.

Yeah, i'll have to take it right back and have them check it out tomorrow. It's a used unit bought off of Ebay, so I can't return it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif All I can do is file a paypal claim if the seller is a lying ******* (it was advertised as being in working condition).

I tried using a cd lens cleaner last night and it still didnt work. Then I drove the car to work this morning and the cd player was working fine then after 20 minutes it crapped out again and gave the error message again. The radio still works though. Anybody have a clue what's going on? I don't want to have to send it in to Alpine, who knows how long and how much it will cost to fix.
