My 12 is flapping

I got a custom made 12 inch Atomic Apocalyse for my truck which is getting about 1200-1300 watts from my Arc Audio KS 1000.1 @ 2 ohms. However on certain songs when the bass hits hard the subwoofer flaps a little. At first I thought it was the grill that I had over the woofer. But when I took off the grill and turned the bass up a little, the subwoofer still flapped a little. It seems to me that the material on the cone is making the noise. What are your thoughts?

Sealed box or ported?

If ported, it could just be noise from air rushing into/out of the port. If it's a sealed box...make sure it's a WELL sealed box and check for surround glue failure on the sub. A small air leak can sound like what you're describing.

i hate it when my 12" starts flapping around
