Hello Car audio community as well as guests who come across this from any other sites,

Recently I won a "door pack" of MurderMat, a new sound dampening product company, in hwich i am extremely great full. A month before i took out the second skin i had on the floor as it was a first run product from 4 years ago. it had a terrible odor. I Found out i had won the product via pm. Upon recieving the product i noticed ZERO odor. In my vehicle i do not have carpet as im in alot of dirt and mountain rods (rock climber) so any odor from the floor is easily noticeable. This was a big deal for me. Pretty much this deadner is out of sight and out of mine, or sensory organs haha! I noticed it was extremely stiff which worried me for workability BUT once the paper backing is removed its as workable as a wet noodle! IT was about 75 degrees outside which played a large factor as well. The paper backing was very easy to remove which is ANOTHER plus to the product. I was skeptical about the logo and heartbeat on the foil side of the product if it was some sort of marketing ploy when in fact it REALLY help when installing and cutting the product. nice straight cuts are a breeze in any direction having points on the product to reference for being square. Lets not forget it just looks **** kool as well not having tin foil looking product on the floor. It is extremely sticky as well. I did NO heating to the product as it did not need it. Once all installed and rolled flat on the floor of my truck the entire door pack covered everything i wanted to cover, the THIN pieces of metal. If you dont know sound deadening works by MASS LOADING the sheet metal decreases the resonant frequency decreases noise reproduction through vibration. Simply it makes the metal heavier, reducing vibration depending on intensity i.e. road noise, exhaust etc. I love this product and will be purchasing more in the future for future vehicles.

My only CON would have to be some of the sheets had noticeable foil damage on top of them. could be a production issue or could be a shipping/handling issue. none the less no big deal for me EVEN if i purchased it.

Nice clean floor, where factory deadening is installed. IMPOSSIBLE to get off, i have TRIED! but hey why not leave it? extra deadening is good deadening

you can install it when its cold just heat it with a heatgun. both surfaces, but make sure u have no cleaning agent that is flammable in excessive amounts inside the vhicle before introducing the heating agent haha.

awesome, glad the install went well!

As for installing in the cold....a heatgun shouldnt be needed adhesive wise....but I'd hate to be installing sound deadener if the weather is below 50* out anyways !

Warm butyl does like to conform a lot better then cold butyl though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I wouldn't say that. The 87 mil BL series seems more malleable/softer than the 90 mil MDK, the constraining layer seems to lay over each differently being that

the MDK 90 is denser in stock. There were 5 sheets of BL and, 5 sheets of MDK, was not hard to tell there was a difference. Less wrinkes with the 90 mil, but

maybe your right, perhaps the constraining layer of both could be evened out so there is not a noticeable difference. I think something in between the way the

constraining layer for the 87 and 90 mill is now, but, for me, it did not matter to me because 10 times out of 10 all the deadener ended up completely covered.

Outstanding product.
