Multiple ports different sizes

I have a box that has two 3 inch pvc ports that are each 23 inches long. Would it be alright to add two more ports that are 2 inches in diameter that would be the same length as the other two ports (23 inches). I am doing this to change the tuning. It all comes down to total port area vs total port length doesn't it??

end result

4 total ports each 23 inches long

3 inch port

Or since the 2 inch port has obviously less port area would the 2 inch ports need to be shorter.
