multi chanber sealed box

I am putting a box in my ford f350. I am using a pair of kicker L5 15" .I have constucted two boxes but I need to connect them together for the correct SQFT (3.5) total . The only way I can connect them is to use pvc pipes 1 1/2" and use about 8 to transfer the air from one to another. What are the side effects of doing this and will the speakers still react like there is 3.5 cuft total with the restrictions? Anybody out there have any expireance with this?

well using the pipes makes me think it'll produce like an internal port...not sure if it'll work right or not....maybe someone else could help you out a little better...good luck

this makes a big difference it's call an ABC box. what happens is when your speakers play the tuning freq of the ports that is the only time they will see the air space on the other side of the port. What it does is make the box seem larger or smaller when the freq changes.
