so thats 3 6 inch aeros per two subs. thats only 85 sq in of port per two subs. to me that seems a little low. im sure im wrong with something here. what are you trying to do, i wish to learn... thanks, andrew

To those asking about the differences between this box and the one in there currently, here ya go

1) this box has the same amount of airspace

2) this box is made out of birch to save some weight

3) this box will have a TRIPLE baffle

4) this box has three 6" ports per chamber (2 subs per chamber)

5) this box has a doubled up port baffle with rounded over edges so the ports sit flush on the wood, unlike the old box where they stick up a little bit. This will result in smoother airflow and an overall stronger box since the panel has a lot of area cut out of it and needed to be stronger.

The old box had four 6" ports per chamber, but after some testing and plugging, three 6" ports per chamber resulted in better performance on the meter and had a better peak frequency. Thus, the same size box was rebuilt with only three ports per chamber instead.

No, the ports are external. Just like his old box.
