muffled bass? simple question

my box is filled with cotton foam.. my last one had this, but not as much. the bass seems to sound a bit muffled.. is this from all the foam? should i take some of it out? or is it good to have inside the box?

I'm assuming it's sealed.. in theory, 1 pound of fill = 1 cube of space..

I really doubt it's muffling your sound..

Did you wire the VC's such that they would work against each other ?

its ported, and the vc's are wired fine. puts out an even 2ohm load
