mtx

There a joke, I'd get kicker comps or cvr's for not much more money at all. I have a mtx 8500 sitting in my bed room right now. It sounded alright and hit pretty hard while it lasted which was barely over a year. Just long enough for the warranty to run out. I didn't abuse it or do any spl competitions or anything like that either. I still like mtx amps but their subs have really went downhill.

i would say if you limited to a budget 8, id go with the kicker. and also i wouldnt say MTX has gone down hill, but just started to ***** then selfs out. i mean does any company realy need 5 or 6 lines of subs. sum of wich are identica, but just a differnt name (MZS and 5500, and the MXS and the SVC 7500 are the same subs)

There still not as bad as say audiobahn, but compared to how they used to be when I was in high school they have really went downhill. They focus more on looks and names now then quality and performance. I used to swear by mtx back in the day and I still like their amps but i'm done with their subs. Was not impressed with my 8500 for how much I paid for it.
