Mtx?

MTX is not very good SQ subs, but can get real loud. i think anything over thunder 7500 is decent, no road tunder or anythign like that. the thunder 9500 is a REALLY loud sub. so i think mtx is nice if you go with thier higher ends subs. i would recomend the jackhammer.

My last setup was a tri sub MTX enclosure. It was 3 10" MTX Blue Thunder subs that were rated at 250 each so 750 total for the enclosure. While they were overrated, they did get quite loud and sounded excellent for the money. However, these subs are older and after hearing some of the new stuff, stick with the mid to higher end subs and you'll be pleased for the money.

are you gonna start a thread asking how every mainstream brand is? At least give us a model I mean shit, not all alpines stuff is great and its not all crappy. Not all mtx stuff is great and not all is crappy. Well neither make much if anything "crappy", but it depends on the model.

You just got bossed. How do you feel?

I've got a single 9500 in a 2 cubic feet ported box only running it with an orion 1200d running at 2 ohms,so,technically 725 watts but thats at 14.4 volts,it sounds alright to me,but i know i'm underpowering it and it hits hard, but i'm actually gonna take it out and go for something else, this is the first time i went to a ported box and i just cant get it to sound right in my car,i mainly think if i had maybe an suv or a hatch it would sound better,i have a 2001 honda prelude so the trunks so small i cant exactly make the box as big as i want it to be,but if you're looking to slam the 9500 is a good choice,**** thing weighs probably 70 pounds with the box though and you can tell is lowered the rear end of my car,lol
