I have two of these bad boys MTX 81000D amps for sale. Need to unload somemore amps. Both amps in great shape and works 110%, have ton of Refs. $400 shipped for the pair or $200 shipped each.

Btw, I have the a few matching Thunder 942's same exact amps, just class AB instead of class D.

500 RMS @ 4ohms

1000 RMS @ 2ohms I'm pretty sure these amps are underrated, 150a external fuse and 1/0 pwr/gnd.

Yeah, it says 1500 RMS @ 14.4v. These amps are very beefy and built like a tank, solid and heavy, they don't play around LOL.

how do you mod them?? cause i could be interested in one of these. i have the mini version an it does alright. wouldn't mind haveing the bigger one lol

i'll copy and paste what i got from scottiej..

Modding it is pretty easy if you're familiar with removing circuits with a soldering iron. You have to remove resistor Q240 from the board and release the compression circuit

The dont do it from the factory because the chip you remove is the part of the protection circuitry that shuts the amp down if it see's a load below 2 ohms (ie dead short) so when modded you have to be careful not to touch the speaker leads together while the amp is on, or you will short it out. And yes the mod will allow up to 18.5 dc volts and down as low as you feel comfortable on impedance... I wouldnt suggest any lower than .5 for daily.

q 240 is located in the south west quadrant of the amp... you have to be careful to not remove d240 that is right beside it. Also, the compression circuit is a little white button next to the rca end of the amp. It needs to be pushed in the "out" position.

hey op, dont mean to clutter this up but its a very good selling point to potential buyers..I had mine like this on 3 12" type r's @ .67ohms and it was killer. As soon as i get back on my feet im going to get another.

I can also vouch for the performance of this beast. Pushed my subs wonderfully and sounded better than any amp I've ever owned (aside from the American Bass 200.1 I'm running now) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif For sure worth 200 bucks - someone swoop it up

You can wire those subs up @8 ohms if they are both SVC4 ohm subs, and that amp will run fine after being tuned properly...
