personally don't really like mtx but my opinion is that the 6000's are better for the money the 8000's are not much different and the 6000 can get just as loud

mtx are very durable subs they dont handle as much wattage at least thats what they say i think the 8000's 12's handle like 800 watts push 1000 watts through them and they will sound nice. my first system had 2 12's of the 6000 and it knocked all u have to do is have a nice amp wire it right and have a fitted box and it will sound off da hook hope dat helps - knockboots

yea, mtx subs can takea buse, atleast th eolder ones, my brother has 2 mtx 7000, and i tell u, these things take abuse like crazy.....we even ho0ked it up to my bd1000.1, and they did well......

with the mtx 8000 yeah they do handle 800 but how big and what kind of amp would you prefer?

i have 2 8000s in my bonne with a jbl600 watt amp and they thump like mad crazy the thing i like bout them is the bass is very clean!

i suggest you get a digital amp cause its really really clear and you can tell the difference. i got a tsunami 1200 amp and i have no complaints but it depends what brand u want.

ive got an mtx pro 50x2 and i abuse that thing hardcore, i wire it to 1 ohm and it still takes the abuse no problem, ive been running it like that for 8 months now.
