Sold mtx thunder 1501d

I recently picked this up from CL as a temp amp while im getting dicked around on my rd 3250.1v2. i got pissed the other day about it and bought a sundown 3500d. so im taking the 1501d out.

Works great. does have some cosmetic flaws. some scratches and rub marks on the front. id say about a 7/10 cosmetically. sorry for the crappy pic. i can take some with username and date tomorrow.

is this amp strappable? If so i wished i grabbed the one from CL it was only $150 and easy 3k+ the two would put out. Did u mod this one yet for 1ohms? Heard its simple to mod it just a flick of a switch on the board

it does 1500 @ 1 ohm out of the box (probably slightly underrated). no need to mod. i believe modding is for below 1 ohm. currently its running at 1.33 before imp rise.

i have not modded it. i actually tried to open it yesterday for pix of the guts..but couldnt figure out how to get the mounting feet off to get it open.

Mouting feet slide up and out, took me a second to figure that out too when I took a few of those apart for **** shots.

I thought u had to mod to get it 1ohm guess not but had a friend clamp one and it did 2kRMS+ 1ohms. These amps were rated 1.5k @12.5volts so do the math and u get one hell of a deal here

They're actually rated to do 1kw at 12.5V, and 1500 at 14.4V, both at 2ohms. But nonetheless, very good amps.

got that from a off site so probably thats why but it puts out 2k+ and for $200 cant go wrong and its a MTX not sum off brand that had never been tested

To mod you have to release the compression circuit and remove the resistor Q240 from the board of the amp then it will put out about 1800 watts at 1 ohm. Un modded it is not 1 ohm stable. Great amp.

hm. i always thought it was 1000 @ 2, 1500 @ 1.. guess im wrong

well its running at 1.3 just fine for now..

that pic is mine of the guts btw...i may have more if you want them PM me.....i took em when i was selling it but then ended up selling locally for $200....these really are BEASTS of amps. i pushed 2 12" Type ARGHS with mine...then my LVL4 15 DC for a lil bit til i got my sundown SAZ 1000d.
