Input Sensitivity; pushed in it's x1 push out it's x10. Now my problem is, when it is x1 it is louder than when it is x10. I was told, the correct way to have the amp is x10 not x1 because x1 is basically like running dc current through the sub. But with x1 it is like adding another sub, and x10 is like taking away one. i have one mtx 9512-44. What is the problem?

thanks

All depends on your input voltage.. I used a line driver with that amplifier to boost it, which would satisfy you. If your using a line output converter and/or factory radio, it would be normal to keep it on 1x until you can give it a stronger input signal

Edit- looking at your signature with the aftermarket CD player, does it put out 2v or 5v?

I have a line converter. But i dont think thats the same. And how would i go about hooking one of those up? I still need to upgrade to 0 gauge as well. So should i leave it on x10, or put it back to x1?

What do you mean by line converter? i assume you would run the rcas from the cd player, and not tap into any of your speakers

so what didi you do?

If you have a crappy line converter then it might be ok, those things ussually are cheap *** components and put out less than a volt.

Why dont your RCA go straight from CD player to AMP?????

x10 for when you have not rca out put and used by power out speaker of your cd . when you conected by rca or pre out to amp 81001 you must put it at x1

and then chang the gain.
