This is a 2 channel amp, I am going to be using it for a sub in bridged mode... factory specs show stable at 4 ohms, but it seems like a lot of the older amp specs where under rated, at least from what I've read, especially the old punch amps... my question is, if I get a 4 Ohm dvc and parallel it, it would be 2 ohms right? would it be safe for that particular amp?

cool, thanks... I'm trying to decide on a 12 to run, and if I can safely do 2 ohm, then I'll probably do a DVC... I've got an old punch 60, but it's not working right now...

You can wire those subs up @8 ohms if they are both SVC4 ohm subs, and that amp will run fine after being tuned properly...
