Have a friend who is thinking of buying a couple 15" mtx rfl's off a guy and he asked me to look into them and see if they were worth the money. I cant say ive ever seen them in person so i thought i would see what experience you guys had with them. He is not a competitor or anything he is just going to be using them for daily. Any input will help, thanks

these were made to make noise, as a daily you will get tired of the noise, not very musical at all. he should choose something else. there are plenty of 15's that will be musical, deep, and loud. somebody on here will make suggestions, if you have friends with with audio listen and make your own ideas, comes down to personal prefference. can get good ideas from hear, still all about what you are looking to do and money to spend, there is some good budget stuff available and there are some were money isno object, its up to you.

Any idea on the value of them? I know they are old but they are both in good shape and i think they were each powered with about 2000 watts, i told him he should go with 1 15" sa or a nightshade and he would be more than happy but he seems to be set on these because of their rarity. He will prolly not want to recone them either so with what you guys are saying im going to try to sway him to something a little more daily. A 15" nightshade would be more than enough for him and i was happy with mine running off an opti 2000 at .5 ohm. Thanks for the help
