or

my guess is the JVC one? i dont know all the techy stuff but it comes with rca outs right?

one more thing, is this even worth looking at -- >> http://cgi.ebay.ca/400-WATT-DUAL-12-PORTED-SUB-BOX-CC2122_W0QQitemZ5847999183QQcategoryZ32823QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting

Yup - if the only choices are the Verge and the JVC I'd definately go the JVC. Not that it matters so long as the unit works but the seller with the JVC seriously needs to look into a spell-checker! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif

It wasn't a question of a specific piece or pieces of equipment.....it was talking about manufacturers.
To hear some tell it Eclipse decks are the be all/end all of in-dash receivers.

There was a time when it wouldn't have been that unlikely to hear someone say, "Fujitsu Ten? Who the F*CK are they?!?"

A blanket starement of "They're unheard of for a reason," isn't necessarily a reasonable assumption.
Ultimate is overpriced low end stuff, their quality is on par with companys like Dual/legacy. I would buy Jensen before them. You can find Ultimate brand equipment in the local Vision's stores in Saskachewan.

what about these welfare subs. ( keep in mind im a cheap bastard who wont spend real money, but still wants bass )

Absolutely not, pure junk, those enclosures are tuned rediculously high.

If you really want to go cheap, goto your local XScargo and look at their subs. For 44 bucks you can get a Visonik 12" DVC which will perform on par with a Rockford Fosgate P2.

i live in Regina, SK dude, infact im gona be working at XS cargo if they accept my resume :p . I saw those Visionik 12'in 's. it was 2 12'inches for $38. and i thought that was reallly fishy. 300rms is what the box said. Can i return it if i buy it?

XScargo's policy states that the speaker must be profesionally installed and proven to be defective in order to get an exchange( An install reciept will prove profesional installation).

Their prices are not fishy but rather an accurate representation of dealer cost.

In the event that XScargo disputes replacing a damaged woofer you still have the option of dealing with the manufacturer for warranty providing the damage is not user error (burnt coil).

This is the model I was refering to

This one is also worth consideration

I used a set of Ultimate 8" subs in my first system in the late 80's.They were decent inexpensive subs. Although I can't say if it's the same company.

I'd go with the MTX simply because when you upgrade (and you will) it will be easier to sell or trade a MTX product.
