MTX Amp Problem.... Please Help

Ok i have a Lil MTX 702x 2 channel amp. The problem is that it turns on with only the ground and battery wire hooked up. The remote wire dosent need hooked up for this thing to play. Any ideas why this is? Im thinking whatever the remote wire powers up is stuck open and just letting the thing stay on whenever the power is hooked up to it. ANy help would be great... thanks
