ahhhh, welcome to my world, i also invested in a 9510, about 2 months ago when a nearby shop when outta business got it for $250, it was a steal, dont be scared to throw some excess power at it, when i first got mine i babied it, dont do it, it can take allooooooooot of abuse, not sayin u should abuse it in ne way, i built my box for mine, to the mtx specs, tuned to 37 hz i have pics if ne would like to see, but yes you will enjoy it very much, and actually it does have decent sound qaulity believe it or not, even mine being in a vented box sounds good, i have yet to get it metered, being i never upgraded ne thing in my car when i got my 801d hooked up, i ruined my alt, my battery, and some kinda volt sensor, i have done the big three now..... but so much for thread jacking, just to leave on a positive note, you will not be dissapointed, provided you give it the right power, around 800-1200 watts you will be very happy

i disagree with the no sq part i have a 12" and i love it. Everybody who has heard it always say its the best sounding sub theyve heard.
