mtx 9500seris

I don't know about the 9500 shitting all over the CVX. I have the CVX in my car now and had 4 9500 12's and of course it was a lot louder, however I perfer the overall sound of the CVX. Hell I even like it more than the Fi Q, which I still have with a ripped surround.

ya'll been super helpful thanks.
idk man theres alot of options out there.. each person might like a dif. sound .. As far as getting loud goes , for a daily driver to me anything over 140 is good , 1ve hit near 145 off music with a single 12w7 which is nowhere near an spl sub but i built a box that worked w my car and the power i had .. good luck man

IMO the MTX 9500 series is the baddest looking, quietest sub ive encountered. Plus the cones arent all that strong either, real easy to crack them. If you want SPL, look elsewhere. If you want an all around good subwoofer with moderate output and still acceptable SQ, the MTX's fit that bill.

In an elkie I don't think you're going to manage a sub as deep as a 9515. I've got one (a 15")for sale in the classifieds and I've owned an elkie ('69 SS 396) before. I'm 5'11 and I would have to fiberglassed the package tray to fit a sub that was 7" deep behind the seat...so I don't think a 9515 is a good idea due to the depth.
