mtx 9500,8500 or kicker l7

I have heard both in a 12", a single L7 in a ported kicker box and get this a single MTX 7500 in MTX sledge hammer box also ported, in the same environment powered by the same amp a Hifonics Brutus. Played alot of different types of music, but always that MTX hit harder got louder and sounded better. In fact when I went to get the only MTX another guy already had the sales guy at Fry's loading it up on a cart for him. Those Kicker L7's plenty of them in stock, I went back when they were going ot get more of the MTX boxes. They had already sold them including the display. I'd have to say MTX hands down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/toast.gif.bc0657bf54b9ee653b6438524461341e.gif . I'm sure some Kicker loving fool will say no way, not possible, Kicker rules and so forth. Don't belive the hype, their all stuck with the Kickers thay bought and invested all there lunch money into //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif . ^^^^This newb doesn't know whats he's talkin' about sayin' that kickers arn't amazing! Your a fool! Wheres Polecat LoL! Yes the 9500 series are great, but look at the amount of sales comparing kickers to MTX. Kicker outsells them by quite a bit. I'm sorry to say but this kids informations is wack

Yes I have heard both setups before as well. I have Dual L7's in my trunk and they pound like crazy, Haven't had any problem with them backed up by a one year warranty. Now I'm not gonna be rude and say that the MTX's arn't great subs because they are as well. I think you should go out and hear them and choose by chose of ear! Thats always the best way. But my opinion would be 2 L7's over one 9500 anyday, twice the amount of cone area, etc.

Please 1Rd, you have no idea what your talkin' about. If Kicker was just a hype then why would so many people buy them and be happy with them. Because you weren't means nothin'. I know tons of people who crave over kicker. Not sayin' there the best but my choice would be kicker over MTX any day.

kicker l7 or l5 owns mtx 7500, in the realm of everything would probably look like 7500, l5, 8500, l7, 9500 then the solo x. if i had room i woulda ran kickers i can get them sounding pretty **** good. if i had that kinda depth though i probably would get an idmax over a 9500 4 sure

then why dont they own everywhere? i like mtx i think its good stuff but i also know FIRST HAND with both drivers. about 50% of the 9500's girth is wasted due to the motor where you can get a less deep woofer to perform the same and in many cases perform better and more acurately in the lowwer bass regions. an l7 in a big box will have very good sq better than the best 9500 i ever heard and even if the 9500 metered louder by ear i would bet money you couldnt tell given everything is installed propperly. you cant hear 1 db in difference in volume in fact i would venture to say between a non instant a b comparison you couldnt tell between 3 db if you had to wait a min or so inbetween especially if both drivers were doing anything over 139 db. i almost bought a 10" 8500 (a friend has one in an extended cab) it bumps a little but not much more than what i have now with me haveing 1/3 the power and he doesnt sound nearly as good ....

lol wonders when people will learn that this stuff is an applied science where the actual results are through HOW WELL OR NOT WELL it is applied lol. kicker and mtx are pretty good but if you aplly any woofer wrong you'll say its junk. i remember a guy that bought round solobarics for his street rod to replace open air kickers swore up and down that they were horrible until he go them into a small box he swore he didnt want...now the box is matching a dressed up and he still has them 7 or 8 years later lol. still has the 1992 kicker lisance plate on the front with the 2 kicker ss500 amps.

Back to what this is all about, your choice of sub. If it's going to be an Mtx 95, or 8500 I'd say the 8500 and put two in. I wouldn't consider Kicker but that's for you to decide. I'm actually surprised that all these RE, XXX, loving fools haven't told you to get something other than MTX or Kicker. well where i live mtx is sold but not thought of as awesome. its just a matter of location. both mtx and kicker have done well in all facets of car audio be it sq or spl. so for you to go off and say mtx owns kicker is hilarious considering the fact kicker achieved their success with this technology and mtx did theirs with regular technology 8 yrs ago. if you want to put apples to apples both are great but again if mtx runs them so bad lets see the results in the contests. if you say contests dont matter show me a better place where you can take applied systems with the equipment in it and get your various results. sound offs made jl all the way back in the early 90's i know that i bought mine when jl was still only avaliable from speakerware house where they were developed.
