I picked up a mtx thunder 9510-44 for super cheap on craigslist. Their website and owners manual conflict box volumes and tunes for ported setups. Has anyone run these and what setups did you use. Judging from the high fs, its more of an spl sub and would require a higher tune(40-45hz), am I wrong here or what? Heres the t/s given in the manual:

I use to run these few years ago (but 12s)... Tuned to 30-35hz and you'll be fine.

x2, I'd do 1.5ft^3 at 33hz.

The box they described gives you a tuning between 41-42hz...talk about a fart box(and it shows on winISD too)!

Where you do get win isd from? I found a beta version and thats it. Do you have to pay for it or what?

Also what amount of port area would you guys recommend?

It's free.

Use 18-22in^2 of port if doing a 1.5ft^3 box.
