MTX 8500 Power

I have 1 MTX 8500 12" and I was just wondering how much clean power I could run to it without having to worry about it blowing. It says 500 RMS, I'm sure it could handle more, but not sure as to how much.

I'm looking into getting a new amp really soon and wanted to get one bigger than the 450 watts ish RMS i'm pushing right now with a pos sony //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.

500 is plenty.......I tried 500 and as much as 800 and 800 seemed over kill

and ended up settling on the 500w amp
