MTX 81000D/1501D questions! Halp!!

I am looking to possibly get 2 of these. My question is, are they strappable? Also, if they are, I would assume they would make the most/safest power @ a 4 ohm load, no? Somewhere around 2.5-3kw strapped @ 4 ohm?

Someone let me know if there is any truth to this!

are you asking if you can strap both of those amps together?

or are you saying each one ...ex: 1501d to another 1501d?

I thought that they were the same amp. Im not looking to mismatch... im really looking to run a pair of the 81000D's strapped. Does anyone know if they run bridged? And im assuming their best impedence would be 4 ohms, correct?

you need 2 1501d's if you want to strap them....you cant do the other 81000d's or the 10000d's.......

Still, either way..

The power will be at 4 ohms strapped, no? Safe to assume that they will put out close to 3kw?

yes at 4 ohms = 2550 1@ 12 volts

but you can mod them to take lower than 2 ohms

Where exactly did you get the numbers for 2550 @ 12v? Just a guess, or really tested it?

These will probably be my amps of choice....
