Mtx 1501d

Think it might be dead, but hopefully someone can give me an idea where to look. Yesterday my amp started putting out nothing but what sounded like a test tone. Now it is just making the subwoofer waver with a really deep thumping bass. I tried it without a signal from the headunit and it still does the same thing. I wish I had a schematic to follow. I am used to working on electronics in the marine corps. Circuit cards, capacitors, and resistors are something I am comfortable with, but with the amp I am not sure where to start checking. I will post a picture of the inside if someone thinks it would help.

Oh, it isn't under warranty, that is why I am trying to diagnose it myself.

Thanks.

Aaron

sounds like its fried my friend... i have had one that done something like that , it would move the sub in and out without being hooked up to the head unit. and make even more popping noises when you moved the gain............would you want to get rid of it if you cant fix it?
