MTX 1501D question

i tried to do some searching with no luck, just wanting to know if the 1501D is stable to one ohm, on the sticker on the back it only lists down to 2ohm, so just wondering...

they say if you modd it it will run 1ohm all day.....im trying to find out if this is true myself w/ no luck....

there was a thread not too long ago that explained in detail how to mod the 1501d. sounded real easy, i think i'll try it on mine. best thing is i bought my 1501d brand new for $300 no tax!

im running mine 1 ohm and it gets warm but these things take the abuse as well a memphis and orion amps when put under hard work and abuse of the daily driving. mine accually smoked a small component on the board but it still runs liek a champ..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif im sure it will run more efficently after id o the big 3

how many watts you think your 1501 is pushing...and that is at 14v right...

The cool, nice guy that I am I will show the process again, I guess. You could give me a good rep or something since this is like the third or fourth time I have done this. But here we go.

Take the cover plate off the amp. Over on the side of the amp is a little push button (circuitry protection button) press the button to where it is UN- depressed. It is out NOT in. Look down towards the bottom of the board about in the middle and look for the Q 240 resistor. MAKE SURE it's the Q 240 resistor. Get you a soildering gun and heat it up just enough to loosen up the Q 240 resistor. I used a pair of tweezers and pulled the resistor out very carefully. Then Wha-La you are now 1 ohm and will roughly crank out 1800w rms at 14.4v.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif Place the cover back on and it is time to wake up your neigborhood.
