MTX 1501d modded??? What will I truly see???

Alright, I had read alot on this. I have seen conflicting stories on this. I just grabbed one a few days ago and thinkin about modding it. Is it safe, besides ruining the warranty? What will I truly see at 1ohm or .5ohm? I know its rated at 1500@2ohms, but i know it will do more in general. Just need some input... Thanks in advance...

I have read 1800@1ohm and 2000+@.5ohm?

I had both mine doing over 2k each modded, but was a shop owner I worked for that did it. I haz no idea how to do it.

Ran them that way for over a year with no problems.

the mod is removing the protection chip, it will not have any kind of protection.

just keep an eye on the temp of the amp when your pushing it hard because there will be no thermal shut off.

i have the 81000d and have ran it at 1 ohm on my dd3510 with no problems at all and my amp is not modded. i say try it first with out the mod and see if it works for you.

again after the mod you will not have any thermal, short, dc off set, and overload protection any more.

Yea, I have read up on it and know what needs to be done and know the risks. Just curious on the output I will see from it... Thanks
